Nov 2022 Update from Brooke Bateman

Hello from Asia! I have been here for 3 weeks. Meeting a total of 7 different Deaf translation teams from SE Asia. I attended a translation conference out on by the Asia Pacific Deaf Association. Watched teams consult with the accuracy of the scripture, work to discuss the Biblical text and how they would sign specific texts. There are so many more steps and considerations that come into play for a visually signed Bible. Please pray for the translation teams to continue to make excellent progress and to have wisdom from God in their translation work.

As for me, I fly to Texas for work this Sunday. I am attending a training in which I will be interpreting for in Romania sometime in March.

On a personal note, I am tired. I can’t seem to find the energy I once had. Health has been a struggle lately. Please pray for me to have wisdom from God in how to take good care of myself. Pray for me to cling to God above all else and hunger for His Word and presence.
