Jan 2023 Prayer Needs Luke and Jessica Thek

Please pray for our friend peter and his family. Peter is very interested in the gospel and has been going to church with us. He says he is already seeing a change in his life. Please pray that he would continue to go and connect with the body of Christ. Good churches are really hard to come by out here. Please pray as well that his family can catch the fire that he has.

Please pray as we prepare for bush orientation. This is a time where we will stay in a remote part of PNG for 8 weeks so that we can learn what it’s like to live on solar, be very isolated, and learn from missionaries already in there. The missionaries in Wabuku (where we are going) are about to launch a literacy program so pray that these people can learn to read so that they can one day read and understand God’s word!

Please continue to pray for guidance and wisdom as we continue to meet with two families who are potential teammates for us.

Please pray for our spiritual well being. Even though our job is about the Lord, it is always easy to get distracted and we must strive after the Lord and be filled up that we may be able to pour out our cup and fill others that we have the opportunity to minister to.

Praise the Lord for potential teammates! Thank you much for being faithful to pray for God’s guidance as we look to form a team. We are in conversations with 2 other families about potentially partnering with them. Please continue to pray that God would guide us we move forward with these 2 families.

Please pray for my our friend Peter, his wife Julie, and his family. Peter especially seems very interested in learning about the Bible but his wife and brothers and sisters also show some interest.

Please continue to pray that we would gain fluency in the national language and culture.

Pray for the continued strengthening of our walks with the Lord as well as our marriage.
