September 2024 Prayer Requests from Bob and Susan Engel

Thank you, ABC Family, for your prayers and support. Here are my September prayer requests:  

Update and prayer for Susan. She is now in physical therapy (walking, balance, strengthening) with the expectation for "full" recovery by the end of the year. The bigger issue still is her memory loss, approximately 20 years of life gone, and her short-term memory is very short, i.e., 5 minutes and the conversation is forgotten. The therapist said today that, "Susan is a unique case." There are many laughable moments around the house and our trust is in the Lord. His ways and thoughts are not our ways and thoughts. He is good, compassionate and merciful. Please pray for full physical strength and health to come to Susan and the memories that are pleasing to our Lord will come back. 

I will be in South Korea, September 21-28 as a North America representative at the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization. Please join me in prayer: 1) for Susan while I am away, 2) spiritual preparation for me to represent the Church of North America with excellence, 3) building global friendships for Great Commission advancement, 4) that the Lord of the Harvest would be present in a fresh and powerful way at the entirety of the Lausanne Congress. 

Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send us church plant teams to be equipped and released into the harvest field of souls. Pray also for church plant movement leaders/Catalysts that we can equip, certify, and befriend for Great Commission advancement.
