June 2024 Update from Abel and Sarah
We are thrilled at what God is doing in Tanzania. Last weekend was another graduation. The team of guys (in blue cap and gown) that have been teaching this started back in September. This place is about 10 hours away and they went up a total of five times. This was the first group that finished both Milele Hata Milele (Eternity to Eternity) and Kiumbe Kipya (A New Creation) (top picture). They also finished a week long intense course on world Christian missions called KAIROS. KAIROS emphasizes the importance of ministering to cultures that have few or no indigenous churches.
I was able to go with Abel to the graduation this time. We are always "together" in ministry, me supporting from home as I stay with the kids and hold down the fort...however, I was so glad to have been able to go with Abel this time and meet the guys and see the graduation. Their testimonies of what God has done through His Word was so encouraging and amazing.
We are looking forward to a very full summer being back in the US. Abel and Heidi are already there, arriving a few days ago. The other two kids and I will start our trip on June 10 and meet up with them in California. We thank God for His provision for tickets. We will be there until the end of June and then make our way to Ohio and Pennsylvania visiting with friends/family and supporters all along the way. We want to see as many of you as we can. Please reach out, if you haven't heard from us already.
Please be praying for us as we are traveling a lot. Please pray for the kids to adjust well, have a nice time, and stay busy with work/things to do. Please continue to pray for strength for Abel's shoulder. It is healing well overall and it is getting stronger however, it is still uncomfortable often.
We are looking forward to our time with you being able to share what God is doing here in Tanzania, but also looking forward to hearing about your lives and what God is doing in them.
