April 2021 Prayer Needs from Travis and Natasha Phillips

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Thank you for praying for our ministry and our family. We really appreciate you setting aside time to bring these praises and requests before the Lord.

Praises: We continue to get more Visayan/Bisayá language learning materials, and we are gaining an ear for the language and continuing to grow in our understanding of vocabulary. Second, this not-so-smooth path to the Philippines is growing us in patience and the art of contentment when things aren't going according to our plan. Third, financially we are doing well and not lacking anything. Fourth, Last week we shipped our first box of belongings (on a cargo ship) to the Philippines. It should arrive around early July! Fifth, we have two neat opportunities: On Easter Sunday, Travis has the honor of baptizing his niece. She is committed to following Jesus at a young age, and we delight in that! Natasha has an opportunity to share about Jesus, missions, and specifically our upcoming ministry in the Philippines with a homeschool co-op where her sister teaches.

Requests: Continued grace in the language learning process. We still have a LOT to learn. That some of our coworkers who returned to their "home" countries during the lockdown would be able to return to the field soon to resume their roles. Many of our missionaries are in the process of teaching through the grand story of Scripture in various tribes or are in the process of translating the Scriptures into an indigenous language. Please pray for wisdom and clarity for the missionaries and receptive hearts for the hearers and readers of the word. Lastly, we are flying out to Arkansas to spend time with our dear friends who are moving off to Papua New Guinea next month. Please pray for their move's logistics, for their "goodbyes" to family and friends, spiritual health, and safety in travel. We appreciate prayer for safe flights as well :) Lastly, prayer for continued progress in Koine Greek. I really believe this is going to be beneficial in Bible translation, and this time of "waiting" is the easiest time to invest time and energy to progress in ancient Greek language studies.

Thank you, again!

In Christ,

Travis and Natasha
