April 2021 Update from Abel and Sarah
Hello there!
I hope that this update finds you all well. We are healthy and in Portland, OR as I write this.
We are leaving to head back to Ohio tomorrow, and then we need to be moved out of our house there by the end of May, and back into Sarah’s parent’s house until we head back to Tanzania (Lord willing) by the end of April. From there, we plan on spending three months in Tanzania before moving to South Africa to help our coworker’s train South African missionaries for the next four years while we wait to be able to go back to Tanzania full time. The training in Tanzania is in its early phase, but we think that it will continue well. It is built on a solid foundation. Please be praying for our coworkers there as they continue to train Tanzanians for missions. Right now it doesn’t look like Tanzania is a possibility for us, but that could also change in the next few months. Please be praying for wisdom as we make decisions over the next few months. It seems like decisions will be coming at us pretty fast, and we will be needing your prayers.
Please also pray for connections to be made around Tanzania that could help us be back in the country and working there. We do feel like we should be in Tanzania long term, and leadership agrees, but it is not possible right now. If you know how things work for missionaries, you know that just because Tanzania is not an option right now, that doesn’t mean that it will never be a possibility. When we wake up tomorrow things could be different.
Thanks for your prayers. We miss you guys and wish that we could be there with you, or that you could be here with us.
