October 2020 Prayer Needs from Bob and Susan Engel

I pray all is well with you.  Below are my prayer requests for October. 

Please continue to pray that God would grant us favor with the Lily Foundation for our Thriving Congregations grant proposal.  The grant would allow us to equip 12 church planting movements at 3 different stages in their movement - Emerging, Developing, and Maturing.  I believe we will receive a reply from the Lily Foundation this month.     

Church planting movement led by Returning Citizens update.  The Genesis Project is a vision of a Returning Citizen (Matt) to identify, equip, release, and embrace Returning Citizens to plant churches.  The process begins inside the prison.  It's a "prison to pulpit" process.  Much has happened since my September prayer request.  The Lord has opened a door for TGP to be piloted in Colorado.  Please pray for Kingdom connections and resources needed to launch the pilot program.  Pray that the Lord of the Harvest would raise up laborers inside the target prison who we can identify and bring through TGP.      

We are postponing our Evangel School of Urban Church Planting, Dean Training online LMS format until January 2021.  Though we have moved the date please continue to pray for 40 church planting movement leaders to register to be certified to facilitate Evangel Schools in their context.  Presently we have 18 individuals who are eager to be trained and certified.  

COVID and several other issues make for lots of changes.  One has to be very flexible.  Please continue to pray for clarity, wisdom, and timing for several church planting movement M.O.U.'s that I am working on.  They are 1) Bangladesh Evangelical Revival Church (10,000 churches planted by 2023), 2) Global Bangla Mission (Forming a Bengali U.S. Network for evangelism, leadership development, and church planting), 3) CTV-Firm Foundations (Pilot The Genesis Project leading to a church planting movement with Returning Citizens), 4) Training of 1200 prison chaplains with Evangel Church Planting in a "Closed Country.  

Pray that the Spirit of the Lord would protect and draw the Engels closer to Himself in Christ Jesus.
